Xiner Zhou Appointed Assistant Professor of Biostatistics

Dr. Xiner Zhou has joined the Department of Pathology, Microbiology and Immunology as assistant professor of biostatistics effective July 1, 2026.

Dr. Zhou received her BS in Applied Mathematics (2011) from Shanghai University, Shanghai, China and her MA in Statistics (2014) from Columbia University, New York City, NY.  She continued as a biostatiscian (2015-2018) at Harvard School of Public Health, Boston, MA and then completed her PhD in Biostatistics (2018-2024) at UC Davis.  She was a postdoctoral research associate in biostatistics (2024-2025) at Harvard University in Boston, MA before becoming a visiting assistant professor in statistics (2025-current) at UC Davis. 

Dr. Zhou’s research focuses on casual inference, with particular emphasis on developing methods to integrate external controls into randomized clinical trials.
