[FARM] Calf Weaning

NOTE: Student club and organization events are limited to current UC Davis Veterinary Medicine students who are registered SAVMA members. Additionally, many club and organization events are further restricted to club members who have paid their respective club dues.

Paid FARM Club members are invited to take part in spring weaning of calves with UC beef extension at the UC ANR (Agriculture and Natural Resources) Sierra Field Station. This will involve giving cows selenium boluses and fly control tags along with weighing, sorting, and releasing calves for fence line weaning all while in the beautiful backdrop of the Sierra Foothills. Lab will be capped at 15 students, and carpools will be organized to help with transportation to the field station (~90 minutes' drive from Davis). Estimated finish time around 4pm (if not earlier).
