Research Focus
My research program focuses on advancing the health and welfare of dairy cattle as well as outreach and extension education for improving the production, food safety, and economics of the dairy industry. I am interested in using an epidemiological approach to investigate risk factors, including aspects of housing and management, associated with the health and/or welfare of agriculture animals.
Specialty Focus
Animal Behavior and Welfare; On-farm animal welfare assessment; Dairy epidemiology; group housing of dairy claves; antimicrobial resistance.
