Our Facilities

The current hospital opened in 1970 and has had two major additions, the latest completed in 2004. Since 2017, several renovations and additions have been made to the hospital, including the Advanced Veterinary Surgery Center and the Meadowview Foundation Dentistry and Oral Surgery Center (below), both of which are part of our Veterinary Medical Complex.

With construction well under way and two new facilities already open, the Veterinary Medical Complex is a visionary expansion project that will allow us to increase our caseload capacity and set a new gold standard of care, while defining the future of advanced clinical research and education.

Clinical Trials help advance the standard of care in veterinary and human medicine.

Since 2000, the VMTH has enrolled more than 500 animals in clinical trials. The success of many of these trials have contributed greatly to advancing the standard of care in veterinary and human medicine.

At any given time, there are approximately 35-50 clinical trials occurring, with programs in internal medicine, oncology, orthopedic surgery, soft tissue surgery, dentistry and oral health, cardiology and emergency medicine.
