Research Development and Initiatives
We provide strategic support to faculty and research teams across departments to help advance impactful research. Our services include identifying funding opportunities, large-scale proposal development support, facilitating interdisciplinary collaboration, and sharing timely updates on research services and federal funding policies. We assist with both ongoing and emerging research initiatives, helping researchers shape ideas, build collaborations, and access strategic support.
Some of our ongoing work includes:
- Reaching Across the Causeway – a collaborative initiative with the School of Medicine to foster cross-campus research partnerships.
- Faculty Networking Mixers – held during the academic year to connect faculty across clinical and research areas.
- Weekly Funding Newsletter – distributed to faculty, postdocs, and graduate students, this newsletter includes curated funding opportunities (government, corporate, foundation, and internal), federal funding updates, upcoming events, and other research-related announcements.
- Resource Creation – we develop tools to support researchers, including best practices for Aggie Experts profiles and a proposal template repository tailored to SVM faculty needs.
