UC Davis Well Represented among Award Winners at 2024 ACVIM Forum
Past and present members of the UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine were among the award winners at the 2024 American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (ACVIM) Forum, held recently in Minneapolis.
The winners demonstrated professional excellence, dedicated service and expertise, making a significant impact on the well-being of animals, and advancing the veterinary profession.
Professor Emeritus Dr. Edward Feldman was awarded the Robert W. Kirk Award for Professional Excellence, recognizing his outstanding career and lifetime of contributions to the ACVIM and veterinary internal medicine.
UC Davis alumna Dr. Suzi White won the Lee & Inge Pyle Service Award for her record of outstanding and dedicated service in a volunteer capacity to the ACVIM. Dr. White is the Josiah Meigs Distinguished Professor, Emeritus, at the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine.
Finally, Dr. Elise Lenske, second-year cardiology resident, won the ACVIM Resident Research Abstract Award in Cardiology for her abstract: “Hemodynamic, Echocardiographic, Electrocardiographic, and Behavioral Effects of Oral Gabapentin in Healthy Dogs.” Abstracts are awarded based on the quality of both the research and presentation.
